2 miles and 2,000 beads was no challenge for the children of the THJCA Afterschool program during the MLK Day Parade.
Children from the THJCA Afterschool program participated in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade in honor of a man who fought for their equality. Despite the chilly weather, the children were ecstatic to gather and gave away beads to local residents while marching alongside many great floats and performances. During the parade the children learned the many ways Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr contributed to the betterment of our society.
