TAMPA HEIGHTS JUNIOR CIVIC ASSOCIATION
Response To COVID-19

The Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association (THJCA) and its Board of Directors is closely monitoring recent events surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) locally and nationally. Your safety and our role in helping to prevent it's spread is our top priority. During this time of uncertainty, we want you to know that we are taking numerous precautionary steps recommended by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), state, and local agencies.

These measures include the temporary closure of our facility to large events, introduction to outside events, additional and regular cleaning and sanitizing of commonly touched surfaces in our building such as entryways, computers, work areas, and more. Additionally, we are providing gloves for our staff, temperature scans, buying additional disinfectants and cleaning products, encouraging the routine use of hand soap and sanitizer, reminding our staff to closely monitor their health, and asking team members to work from home. Our team continues to develop new measures to protect our community.

For Our Parents
- THJCA has started limited virtual youth programming until further notice. This includes non-school day activities, after-school programming and in-school support. As we receive updates, we will continue to keep you informed regarding future programming.

For Our Customers
- Consistent with our number one priority of protecting our children and the larger communities that we serve, we are temporarily canceling larger capacity events until further notice and allowing limiting events to smaller capacities.  To further help ensure safety, smaller capacity events are monitored, everyone is required to have their temperature scanned and wear a mask while in the building.  A policy of review on a case-by-case basis will ensue as soon as feasible. Our actions are in keeping with the advice and guidance of local health authorities. We will update on this site as information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience as we ensure our collective health and safety. The impacts of COVID-19 on our community has been vast. Our thoughts are with all of you and we hope you’re safe and healthy. We are reminded of just how critical it is to support one another during these challenging times. We are in awe of the many ways individuals have rallied to bolster unity and understanding.
